Video

This video is not an AI generation but a cinematic showcasing a project of mine I have just completed. The video is done in Unreal Engine and the model itself was done in 3DS Max.
I have discovered AI when most of the design was already completed so I did not have a chance to use a lot of the ideas you have seen on this profile – which is quite the shame. Which leads me to my next point.

AI is taking over the World by storm and the Design World is no exception. When I got first introduced to it I was unsure how it might fit into my design workflow. For the moment the way I choose to use it is for ‘inspiration’. What I mean by that is a generation of ideas by spelling out they key characteristic of what I want the design to be in the form of a prompt and having AI suggest various ways of combining them together. This way of using AI is determined by using models which are not project-specific, meaning the results are not precisely tailored to the specific project conditions like dimensional accuracy, site context or specifics of geometry. Having said that there are some exciting new tools emerging which would allow AI to be used in a much more ‘targeted’ approach.

.I have recently been exploring tools which allow to bridge the gap between the ‘pretty picture’ and actual design showcase. These tools would not necessarily replace the other tools in the idea generation process but rather enable AI to assist with the next step – actual implementation of the ideas into the specific project reality. Stay tuned, I will return to that in the near future! This post officially concludes the Villa Ibiza Project and we will be now moving onto a new one! It will be a different geography and my great hope is that all my fellow enthusiast of the beautiful island of Ibiza will stay with me for the next chapter of the journey.
